- For dal soak it for 1/2 an hour
- In a pressure cooker add dal salt and turmeric boil it with double the water of dal cook till 3 whistle
- Let the pressure release mix it
- For tempering in a wok heat oil add cumin seeds green chilli onion ginger finely chopped dry masalas and finely chopped tomatoes add it to dal and mix it and pour it into the serving bowl
- Garnish with tamrind paste chopped onion and coriander leaves
